I want to give a shout out to my brother in law, Marty who competed in the ‘Across the Lake’ swim in Taupo, New Zealand over the weekend.  Marty is a wicked swimmer and has been swimming most of his life.  He came in 35th in what looked like a pretty strong field and did the 4.2km swim in 1:07:47.

He was aiming to swim under 1:05:00 so was a bit dissapointed, but the conditions were less than desirable as he strugled to maintain good form in the choppy water.
